Snow!

I called in snow to work today. It was necessary. I could not face the bus ride, it was freaking cold out peoples. Instead I went to the library, harassed some people, and forced them to enjoy the MacGyver in a Box I got from Ms. Erica. Yeah…and GO SNOW GO! At least till Friday afternoon. Then melt, cause I gotta go to Ikea.

Doh. I was thinking very hard about what to give up for Lent this year. No, I’m not Catholic, but since when do you have to be Catholic to celebrate something? Anyway, at first the thought was giving up boys with strange religions, but dang…Hottie is just so hot; and Jett, don’t even get me started. So that was out. It was just way too hard. Once I gave up Coke, that went well. So maybe I could take it a step further…give up caffiene (and create a horrible cranky bitch). No! I can’t do it. I need my mochas. Give up alcohol? Shit, this goes on through spring break and Fitness Matt’s wedding. Can’t be giving up alcohol at a time like this. So I think I’ve come up with something brilliant. Trying, yet doable. I have given up American carbonated beverages. So no more Coke, Pepsi, Ginger Ale, or American beer. When I say American I mean American owned or bottled-in. Basically when I go to England I can drink the British and Irish ales as well as the delicious Scottish Bru.

Whenever I make plans in advance, usually relating to parties, I never follow through. It seems that when the actual date rolls around I’m not in the mood. Spur of the moment things are always better for me. Invite me at the last minute, or close to and I might actually show up. However, having a cold and hacking up snot is not attractive nor fun at parties; thus I stayed home.

So my team does better when I don’t watch. I hate that. It drives me crazy to know that I could be watching, but shouldn’t if I want them to win. Am I being silly and superstitious? Yes of course. But it’s true dang it. The last few games that they lost I was watching. If I don’t watch they squeak by. Must resist checking score on espn.com. That’s it. I’m going to bed. I can’t handle this.

The Ex called. Very odd. He still loves me. Tell that to his new wife and child. He was worried about me. That I might be depressed. I told him that I’m working through my issues with Mormoms and it would be okay, (yes he was mormom too).

The beach was a beach. I will always love the water; even more when I’m on a surfboard, or something like it. Having a head cold like I do now makes everything seem kind of far away. The ocean, even if I’m standing in it is always far away. It’s a place I can’t get to without a wetsuit and a board.

Coffee is the new God.

So my dad called. He thinks I should get one of these instead. I agree with him. If I can get one at retail price I’m all over it. And I suppose I should show you want I really bought. This kind and these. Neither are Harley brand, but that’s cool. I like ‘em anyway. But then again I also like Hottie McHothot so what do I know.

I know that I’m busy from here on out. Saturday I’m off to Wilmington on an impromptu trip with Trish. Next weekend it’s IKEA for a bed; one shag worthy of course. Then off to England and Scotland. The following week I’ll be heading to Kansas for a wedding (aren’t they cute?), and then it’s the Rider’s Course. I love being busy in a good way. These are good ways to be busy.

One last thing: the PoopSmith got a job in CA.

Holy shit. I went to take a nap last night. A quickie…twenty minutes then I planned to hit the books. I laid down at 8:30 or so. I woke up at 4:30am. D’oh.

I’m an adult now. I bought something that my parents don’t like (it’s my mom who doesn’t like it). I bought this (or one kinda like it) and these…mainly for preparation for something like this. It feels good to be all grown up.

Yo! What up peeps? Having a good day? I am. My forearm says, “pretty?” and my knuckles say, “HATE.” I met some cool chicks at the bar. They made me laugh. Shared a meal with Karen, and a laugh. Smoked way too much today, but feel much better for doing so. So the moral of the story is….smoke more cigerettes, you’ll feel better. And a cocktail party is where all the girls end up with a cock in their tail.
