Went to see a movie. I have a thing for ancient history.

Saw Alexander. Loved Angelina Jolie and Val Kilmer. The rest: eh. And I love the story of Alexander. So really, Oliver Stone, what have you done?

Ah Stuart

If you remember Stu used to be my bartender. He walked into Off Franklin last night with Ronin. Holy Shit.

I haven’t seen those to in ages. Say, didn’t we make a deal including making out? Anyway he claims that the Mini Cooper is no more, as the Russian girlfriend, and will be back in Chapel Hill on Thursday to hang out with me during Happy Hour.

So it will be Stuart, that guy from Saturday night, myself, and the New Fishes.

Hey…Party. December 11, 2004. More details to come.

Job Search: the Journey

Well Lads and Lasses, since it looks like I will indeed graduate I definately need to find a job. So I spent this evening not working on XML like a good graduate student, but instead scouring the job boards. I’ve prepared no less than 13 cover letters to be sent in the morning. Impressive isn’t it?

I can only hope that someone at Ferris State, SUNY-Oneonta, McNeese State, Rider, or the University of Maryland University College are impressed and want to hire me as well. Fingers crossed!

Also, am currently one bookcase lighter than before. Have I any takers for the other one? Anyone…anyone…?

Housing: Check

I think I might have solved my housing situtation. This would be good, neh.

I met my potential future housemate (condo-mate?, condiment?) tonight. He seems very nice and put together. Though it seems he suffers from the same bad frigde maintenance that I do.

Ran into Brock, once boy-toy of Chad at Borders today. He apparently works there. Bugger didn’t give me a discount. Shame on him. He told me that there was a little action in my neck of the woods. Apparently I missed out on the drugs (drug bust). Again.

These things happen.

Met a guy at the bar tonight. We talked bikes. I always end up talking bikes. Sometimes I don’t want to talk about it.

Excellent

The desk and chair which so diligently helped my write my master’s paper have been sold to the lowest bidder. Meaning, I got someone to take them! Woo-hoo.

Nudie Pictures?

I dig my mate Billy. He rocks. He was a cheerleader at Uni. That takes some balls. Previous to that he wrestled. He currently is a pilot, which is pretty cool when you think about it. He always makes me laugh.

Today he requested retirement for Christmas, so that he could lay on a beach and get wasted everyday. I pointed out that he already does that, just minus the beach. As do I really.

This was of course after he made his usual request for nudie pictures. As nudie pictures are a habit of men, not a sickness, according to him. That made me giggle. As did the thought of nudie pictures of myself.

Silly Billy.

I hope you had your Turkey today

I did. Tragically it was not Subway. Three-year tradition totally wasted. sigh.

I went over to Butchies to watch movies today. I got there around noon. Watched Riddick and Pitch Black, then Butchie woke up. He watched Confessions of a Teenage Drama Quenn, Ella Enchanted, Blue Crush, and Cradle of Life with me.

I then retired back to Adelaide, forgeting that when the sun goes down it’s down right nippy and could have very well caught my death coming back.

I ended up bowing out of OCSC because of the cold, but damn-it I will hang out with the cool kids this weekend. Oh yes, I will.

It’s 4am. Do you know where your friend is?

Well, I’m actually at home. But Mr. Louis just rang singing. He was on his way home. We are definately going to be in Europe for World Cup. Lou thinks that we should go to Prague, or some other international city, opposed to actually going to Germany. I say we go whereever the general concensus is, “oh….Americans are so cute when they are drunk.”

Research will be done on this topic, because Ms. Meg is going to. Giant reunion. Fantastic.

Sidenote: Ndogg seems to have disappeared tonight. We were suppose to go and watch the game, but I couldn’t get ahold of him.

And it’s Holiday Time

Time to eat. Tragically Subway was closed when I got there, so I’m a little bummed.

However I did enjoy a large glass of rum for dinner. It was tasty.

And this morning that damn fridge smelled again. This time it was mushrooms. We took a solemn walk to the dumpster together where the mushrooms are now residing. Poor things.

More on life in general later.
