Foleyson cancelled on me. I thought she would, but held out hope anyway. I ended up having dinner with BenG. A couple of Stu-sized rum & cokes later JennieD joined the party. We talked shit. Mainly I was a loud annoying ass, but these things happen.
We walked down to Cold Stone for some ice cream crack, but they were closed. We then headed to Ben & Jerry’s. Ben and I reminisced about Mints and getting free ice cream. We then headed over to FedEx Kinko’s to talk to Mints. I told him I was moving. He said goodbye.
We passed Peaches at Caribou. I went back and sat down with him. I thanked him for getting me the job at TJ’s which I couldn’t accept because of my real job. I told him goodbye and got his address so I can send him random postcards or perhaps cow poop. You know, whatever comes to mind.

That’s right folks. It’s the last Tuesday that I’ll be in Chapel Hill as a resident, as far that is planned. I hope everyone had an enjoyable day. I know I did. Trips to the bar with friends are always good.

Okay, so I’m not a teen anymore and I never was a titan, but who cares?
Last night I went to dinner with JennieD, Bert’s Parents, and New Fish G. BenG backed out, but then again I didn’t think he’d actually show up anyway. We went to Pepper’s. I got the Luau as per usual. It was very tasty. We ended up staying till closing and actually until they kicked us out. It isn’t the first time it’s happened to me, nor will it be the last I’m sure.
By the way, I got cool stickers from JennieD. She brought them back from America’s Hat.

You’re stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be?
Do I want to be something that I think should be destroyed or something that people should lay down their lives for? Hmmm…I’d probably choose A Wrinkle in Time, just because I tend to read it every three years or so.
Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
Or course. But then again I tend to have crushes on everything. Remember my crush on muenster cheese?
The last book you bought is: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Safran Foer.
The last book you read and What are you currently reading?
Well, see above I guess. I picked up a biography of Orwell that I had around. Also reading I am a Cat, E: the story of a number, the Ottoman Centuries, Irish Literature, Visions of Cody, Secret History of the Mongols, and the Future Dictionary of America.
Five books you would take to a deserted island:
Interesting. Something long, War & Peace. Bleak House, I was suppose to read it in my Dickens class, but didn’t. And three other books that were long, I could read them, then use them for kindling or toliet paper or something. Books on a island…I think I might be more concerned with food, shelter, and whatnot.

Zach was suppose to phone, but he didn’t. These things happen. So I watched Bring It On instead. I love this movie. We used to watch it about once a month in Fujisawa. It features Eliza Dushku of Buffy fame, Jesse Bradford from another one of my favorite movies, Hackers and of course the best ever, Kirsten Dunst. It was a good evening.

I got to work after stopping by Whole Foods to pick up some chocolate milk tasty! I realized I’d forgotten a fork with which to eat my salad, so I took a detour to the Fox Center to pick one up. On my way out I was stopped by a rather attractive gentleman who said
You look really sexy on that bike.
So my day brightened and I wrote a letter to the next intern. It’s four pages long and says almost nothing. I’m so proud of myself.

So JWatt and Saeri have talked about it, and it’s bounced around the net for a while, but rules for blogging? Sure yeah, I guess. I started this because everyone else had one. Plus it was the end of my first semester in graduate school. Grad school friends wanted to know what I was doing over the summer, so I started it. Then I realized that other people were reading it.
I became less inclined to write about my love life, or lack thereof and the exact degree of nuttiness I had been up to. Future employers located it. That’s frightening, but hey…these things happen. I stopped writing about major life things. Like the fact that I got a job. I only alluded to them, like the fact that I’m moving at the end of the month. Some things I’ve left out completely, like the fact I’m going to visit Laura before I start the new job.
It makes me wonder if I should even continue. The people who wanted to know what I was up to, well I keep in touch with them anyway through different mediums. Like the telephone or letters. That’s right, I actually sit down and write letters to my friends. Throughout graduate school I tried to send out updates to everyone more than one state away once a month. That’s the kind of person I am.
So if the blog dies out this is why. I’m never going to get a book deal from it. I’m not interested in being one of the more important blogs out there. In fact most people who hit the page are looking for some combination of Hot Spanish Men who talk to Dogs and Cats.
