Sup peeps.

I flew back to Florgia today. On my first flight was the New Orleans basketball team that got their asses kicked by KU. I asked the guy next to me if he enjoyed his visited to the fieldhouse, he said yes.

Landed phoned the parents to let them know I was okay. Lola phoned to let me know how the hangover was going. And then the therapist called, so we decided to do lunch. We went for Mexican. Then we went to his place to drink some beer.

And then somehow I ended up helping him move. What? How? I don’t know.

Fun with Steak and Beer

Yesterday was a blast. Seriously. Went and saw Narnia. I seriously want the furry top the white witch wears during the battle. That thing is sweet. The amount of small children wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t great either, but that is what you get for going to a matinee.

For dinner the family went into Olathe for Texas Roadhouse. Steaks boys and girls steaks. We chose our cuts of meat from the case, 10oz filet mingons if you were curious and waited. 4.8 country songs later they arrived medium rare and rather delicious. I don’t think I’ve eaten that much since Thanksgiving. Because you see they have fresh bread, as in it is baked every 3 minutes. Tasty.

On the way home Joshy Josh phoned and plans were discussed. He called Jett; Jett called me; Josh called me. Josh retrieved me; I called Jett; we went to Quinton’s. Quiton’s is notorious for having fratty clientele, but tasty sandwiches (Jett was hungry). We had some beer, Jett had some food. Our server left for the night and transferred the tab. Then the other server left and wanted her money. We took a look at the bill. Hmmm. My 3 Harps were not on there. Neither was Josh’s Red Stripe. All of Jett’s stuff was along with a Sam Adams-which no one had. Strange. Instead of saying something we paid the $20 and got the hell out of there before they realized their mistake. Wrong? Maybe, but hey we did leave a tip.

Having drinks with Joshy Josh and Jett was cool. Jett told fantastic stripper stories, which I really can’t beat so I told Yakuza stories. The night was truly interesting and I learned stuff. Like apparently Fuck Boy was engaged and his finance just left him. I tried not to laugh too hard, but that failed. I learned what happened with Joshy Josh’s marriage and that he is working at the same company with Dante (which Jett wasn’t invited to his wedding either!).

Tonight Lola’s party. Have invited Joshy Josh since he lives in the same area, but who knows.

Christmas, Embossers, & Babies

Let’s see. I’ve been in the wonderful world of Lawrence since the 20th. My mum called and wanted me to fly back, she said they would pay. So I jumped on a flight that left 1.5 hours after she phoned.

Went to go see Mr. Kaleb and his keepers down in Baldwin. Mr. Kaleb had said his first word on the drive down. Of course it was in French. Damn smart babies. Stuck around for the Christmas festivities there which included one gift purchased 3 years ago and forgotten until this year, one box of cookies opened by the wrong person, and a car. I love it when someone gets a car for Christmas.

Highlights of my own Christmas booty: framed degrees; embosser; box of Kleenex. Both of my degrees are now framed and pretty. Only one bestows honors though. The box of Kleenex kills 99.9% of all cold and flu germs and it goes with my new tissue box holder. The embosser is awesome! It says from the library of _______ __________. So when I get back to Gretchen everything is getting embossed.

Hung out with Lady Andrea. Hung out with Miss Erica and played trivia pursuit of the 90s. It made me feel smart. Had drinks with Jett last night. May be having more tonight.

Saw Fun with Dick and Jane. Trying to see Narnia.

Overall enjoying Kansas and would still love to move back here. Nevermind that I know loads of people here/grew up here/it has nightlife.

Just Another Manic Monday

Today I had a tasty lunch at Barberitos and on my way back ran into a faculty member who ditch my party. I stopped to give them a hard time. It was worth it.

I returned to work almost 45 minutes late due to giving the faculty member a hard time, but these things happen. I’m not too concerned about it, since it is practically the holidays.

Of course instead of working super hard I start instant messaging MF Chris, usually it would be Saeri, but she wasn’t online today. MF Chris and I discussed his evilness and how being slightly evil is a requirement for hanging out with me. Then he showed off his new forum. Sparkles.

I finally got a hold of Poopsie GorillaBuns and was able to discuss Hot Adjunct a little. He, of course beeped in during our conversation to say dinner was cancelled. Apparently too many people tried to off themselves today and he wasn’t feeling sociable.

Vacuumed out Sarah. She is much happier now and looking forward to her oil change scheduled in Kansas. Now I just have to start paying attention to the weather to plot my course there.

Library Student H will not be coming home with me for Christmas. So there goes that fun. I shall instead substitute it with Ranch via the Ranch Tooth.

Well boys and girls I had a party. And I can honestly say it was the most poorly attended party I have ever put my name on. T-ville you have disappointed me once again. Sadness. Shear sadness.

Out of 30 faculty and I don’t know how many staff members I invited 4 showed up. 4! WTF! When the students arrived a couple of hours later there were about 12. The amount of alcohol I have left is ridiculous. I’ll be drunk throughout most of 2006, which won’t necessarily be a bad thing.

Highlights of the party:

1. Hot Adjunct came and stayed all night. We are friends now. I deem it so.

2. Drunken 4-year-old (not actually 4-just acted like it) carried out screaming by friends after crumbling about 10 crackers on the floor and failing about.

3. Ice shot glasses were used and appreciated by at least 6 people.

4. Free psycho-therapy for all who attended!

5. New outlook on Fight Club.

6. Roommate approval-that’s right kids I’ll be getting one of those fancy-smancy roommate things. And it’s Irish!

Christmas gifts for family are purchased and currently shipping. Friends–well you all know I love you right?

Cocaine is a Powerful Drug

I’ve managed to misplace one of my favorite MDs. This is very upsetting. Now my plans for relaxation are all shot to hell. I guess I’ll watch more Aeon Flux and contemplate cleaning for the party on Friday.

Random Hair Up Ass

I was walking around Victorian Christmas on Friday thinking…fudge puppies is that a puppy dipped in fudge or a puppy made out of fudge when I received a phone call. Come to Savannah they said. I said, hey I have plans too late peoples. But then we I got up it was a wee bit chilly and the toy ride in Bainbridge didn’t seem like such a good idea anymore. So I threw some stuff in Sarah and took off.

I got to Savannah around 2:00pm about an hour before my dad did. I hung out and talked to Brigette about the trip to Key West until we decided it was time to get a Christmas tree. By the time we got back to number 12 with the tree and poinsettias my dad had arrived with delicious steaks from the Midwest. We grilled the steaks and had a nice dinner.

Sunday morning I rolled out of bed, had some coffee, had some more coffee this time with Baileys, and then got ready for the ride. We went and got the bikes from Richard’s garage as Elfin’s had been torn down the day before. I took the 883 while my dad got on the 1200 and Elfin took his Road King. Brigette decided not to join us and thus her new bike stayed behind with the Ducati and the white panhead and of course the porche.

The ride was good. We went over the bridge to Barbara Jean’s for lunch. I had a tasty crab cake, as the signs told me too and some coconut shrimp. The way back was much faster and equally as cold. I was very happy to return back to the Isle of Hope and watch the tour of homes trolley go by.

I ended up leaving a little after 5pm because that 4 hour drive didn’t sound like a good idea after dinner–who knows how late that would have been anyway. The only tragedy from the weekend was that I left my summer gloves at number 12. Doh.

Just like in the Movies–those movies

I went home for lunch today. I was busy toasting my bagel when there was a knock at my door. How odd. I answered the door and there stood my mailman. He had a large package for me.

[Enter gratuitous sex scene here]

I thanked him, ripped open the box he delivered and there is was. Pete & Pete season 2. I was delighted to watch Grounded for Life with my oh so healthy lunch of a bagel sandwich, bratwurst, and some cookie dough.

Upon returning to work I was notified that the graphics for the website have been updated. So I got to spend some time updating the website with new graphics, sure it is just a couple of changed, but the graphic they gave me was not transparent. Which meant I spent most of the afternoon creating a new graphic. Anyway it is all updated now with new purdy colors and everything.

Sneaky McSneakerson is back in the library today. I caught him sneaking behind the circulation desk last night. I went all evil monkey in the closet on him. IBB also stopped in to do some last minute paper writing or something. Finals brings all sorts of people to the library.

Tonight fishsticks and Franz

Hello.

This evening I watched two classic films: The Graduate and Run Ronnie Run. And it was the first time I have seen these movies. Very good.

Nothing new or exciting really happened other than that.
